Paid cash but no goods arrive

Dissapointing that items on line on the web were not in the store - but these things happen - What was bad was that after placing a special order and promised a delivery date of 2-3 days I am still waiting for the item or a phone call why it has not come currently 12 days have passed now.
Contacted the branch as instructed on quotation sheet and was told to go into a town 25 miles away to replace an order made in Sheffield. Very confused as to why and promptly refused - I said contact me when you have my item - Still no reply.
Last experience of buying from Staples was not a bad one - in fact very pleasing - It is a shame that my special order let down what is probably a good place to shop. I Wrote to head office - still waiting for a call.
